Li Zu is a Chinese nationality with a long history and profound culture, living in Wuzhishan region of Hainan Province. With several thousand years' civilization, Li nationality has created both a brilliant material culture and a spiritual culture. Li's literature, an important and intergral part of its culture, has also been a unique school in Chinese literary circles. Due to its relative seal in geographic location as an Island, its literature has the same attributes accordingly. The relative lagging in the research into Li's literature is unfavorable to the development of Li's literature, and even to the inheritage of Li's culture and Li nationality's progress.In the late 1970s and early 1980s , Li's literature has created writer literature. Li Nationality has had its own written literature for the first time in history, and the authors have created a batch of excellent works which reflect its Li nationality's history and life, however, it does not go on smoothly in the development of its writer literature. In the research of Li's literature, its folk literature has been more stressed than its writer literature, and its literary criticism system has not been established yet. The concept of "Li nationality writer literature" has not come out in literary circles up to now.This desertation for the first time brings forward "Li nationality writer literature " concept. Based on a good understanding of Li traditional culture and the progress of its literature, a detailed expounding and definition has been given to the "Li nationality writer literature".
