On Jingpai Poetry

Jingpai is one of the most important genres of the Chinese literary history in the 20th century, With its large number of classic works and unique aesthetic style, it made indelible contributions to the development and mature of modern Chinese literature .Most Beijing School writers were learning from both Chinese and foreign sources, they have the temperament of scholars and sentiments of the poets. As a branch of Beijing Literature, Jingpai Poetry promote China's new poetry to a new height both on its quality and style, made great effort for the exploration of modern poetry in the 1930s.The paper will organize, summarize and explore the following four aspects of the Jingpai Poetry ,and try to show its clear contour and unique charm. First, from the style, Jingpai poets probably have experienced varying degrees of Romanticism and at last turn to a mature poetic style of symbolism. Second, from the content point of view, Beijing school Poet to return to the tradition with a vision of modern, breakthrough in the classical image of the prototype model and create a strong entity with modern life and emotional imagery. Thirdly, from the ideology, Jingpai poet sent a continuation of the kind of tension between the short-term individual life and the constant universe of the classical poetry, but their anti-ancient Reflections on the life of the modern Chinese literature to the theme of life to a rare height. Forth, from the metaphysical of poetry, Jingpai poets consciously review all gains and losses of the new poetry literary tradition. Summed up the Crescent School and the creation of new poetry since the "May 4" to improve the standard of poetry writing in a higher level.
