Sketch And Schemata-an Exploration On The Observation Method Of Western Paintings

All the rules of western plastic arts were originated from the nature firstly. After gradually separated from the nature, these rules were conceptualized and become to a kind of knewledge, which was about how to paint. From that time on, artists's work was more follow the knewledge than the nature,which result in the formation of schemata. Since the time of Leonardo da Vinci, to check schemata and test its efficiency consciously and unconsciously become the same business of all great artists. Then, artistic reformers in different dynasties only observed beyond the system and sketch carefully to find the truth of nature.Artists began their creation from observations, a kind of created behavior either, which need certain efforts. However, everything we tourched in daily life lost their natral characteristic more and less because of our conceptualized habit. This situation might be more significantly in this century. Movie advertisement and magzine provided us a large number of existing images to our eyes, which looked like a prejudice effected on out heart. The efforts we made on an observation to everything without prejudice need courage. This courage was a basic element to those artists who observed everything like the thing he met firstly.Anyway, schemata would play a role. To observe the world without any prejudice was a privileges to children only. Due to our extreme pursuit, change, in our generation, was took place of eternal beauty and covered up the old hierarchy system of concept priority to art and art follows concept. Nowadays, the following concept of change resulted in the continued increasing of poor quality duplications, which poisoned our observation to works and decreased our distinguish ability gradually by the spreading of media. We should not forget that instantaneous continuity composed, decorated and changed the surface exsiting of life and thing continuously. A more real and essential characters, existed beneath the instantaneous continuity, were swore to be found and eternally interpreted by many great artists from ancient to now.It urgently needs our choice between sketch and schemata, Instantaneous and eternal, In my opinion, since speed lead the trend and image become the fashion, why not do some heroical things resorted to heroes's names and get more eternities by trying to find essential characteristics with giving up some charming things?...
