The essay writing has made considerable rise in Korean-Chinese literary circles and given birth to some representative prose writers among Korean-Chinese. Some of them have obtained great results with their profession of scholars. Young-bin Shur could be one of the representative scholar prose writer among them.The creative essay writing of Young-bin Shur has the characteristic of going in gear with one step of Korean-Chinese essay literature rising period. It also goes in gear with the time of essay writing boom which is rising in China and Korea. His essay is based on Chinese prose style and models after the pattern in Korean literature through the interchanges with Korean. Therefore we could see not only the influence he's gotten from both country China and Korea in his essay writing, but also the acceptance of both country style he's shown in his essay writing theory.This thesis is to disclose the way of biographic criticism Young-bin Shur has gotten influenced, the reason why he could get influenced both country China and Korea in his essay writing and composing theory and the position of his essay writing and theory among the Korean-Chinese literary circles. Moreover, this thesis is to disclose the peculiar creative writing character which is shown in the composition of Young-bin Shur, excepting the influence he's gotten from two countries, there is some inner connection with the fact that he is a scholar.Since the limitation of essay its own, there has not been any deeper and systematic research on essay writing. Thus this research on essay writing might be the first time in Korean-Chinese literary circles. Researching on Young-bin Shur-one of the representative Korean-Chinese prose writer, the researching on essay could have started on Korean-Chinese literary circles. And studying the effect of various factors influenced by language and culture on essay writing would add some new vitality on Korean-Chinese literary study field.
