Content: Songs of the War of Resistance against Japan is significantly important to the war and even our whole Chinese race. Through a deep description of works-creation, development,connotation and social impaction of those songs from 1931 to 1945, this report gives an analysis of interaction between songs of War against Japan and that special period. The report mainly illustrates the impaction and value of those songs and is made up of three parts:Part one: A brief description of the development of songs from 1931 to 1945. In this part, the creation and development of the songs against Japan experienced two stages. One is from 1931 to 1937, i.e. from the Sep. 18th incident to the July 7th incident. Songs in this period are called Salvation Songs and separated into two stages according to their different development states. The other is from 1937 to 1945(victory of World War Two).This period is called Anti-Japan period and divided into three stages which all have their own distinguishing features of development. Part Two: Analysis of the connotation of those Songs. Through perusing large amounts of articles, we will summarize those songs into three aspects: Accusation against Japanese invader's outrages, revelation of puppet army and traitor's crime and encouragement of all Chinese people to fight against Japanese invaders. These three aspects are the purports of the existence of songs against Japan as well as the main affection and creation purpose of those songs.Part Three: The impaction of those songs. From macroscopic analysis, this part defines three positive aspects of the impaction and value of those songs: Mobilization of ideas against Japanese invaders, important weapons against the war and the succession of Chinese folk songs which will benefit the development of Chinese folk songs. Meanwhile, the author subdivided those songs as follows: Waking up common Chinese people, Encouraging and strengthening faith etc. The analysis also includes: the positive impaction in covering the situation, popularizing strategies, disintegrating the enemy and organizing folks etc which finally helps to conquer the enemy and the historic impaction of inheriting the Chinese folks.
