The Science and Technology Museum exerts a positive effect on promoting the technological and economic development, which assumes a position to disseminate science and enhance the scientific quality of public. In china, despite the booming of Science and Technology Museum, we can not neglect the fact including the outdated exhibits, the outmoded equipment, and the simplex approach, all of which not only could not take the Science and Technology Museum into play but also not satisfy the needs of audience. The design of exhibits should base on human, place the human value in priority and take into account of human requirement. This thesis aims to indicate that human-based design is the necessary trends of exhibit design through exploring the existing problems and combining with human-based design ideology. The human-based design ideology includes the caring for physical aspects, psychological aspects, the subdivision of crowd, the living environment and facilitates the communication of human with exhibit. Accordingly, the caring for mental aspects is the core of human-based design, which includes 5 elements: education, entertainment, humanism, taste, society. The audience would anticipate an interesting and entertaining exhibit not exclusively the spread of science knowledge. Thus, the exhibit should play more emphasis on stimulating the interest of audience, cultivating their practical and creative ability and foster scientific spirits. At the same time, the exhibit should conform to the aesthetic standard and integrate with traditional culture.
