The Emotional Design Study On Technological Exhibit

As the chief organ of science education and the important base of ethical progress, the Science and Technology Museum has been becoming more and more popular with people. The development of the Science and Technology Museum is still at the primary stage in China. Education and amusement can't be assorted with each other very well, because the scientific and artistic value must be presented in one piece of exhibit. For making the science and audience more closer and audience better educated, the emotional determinants could be involved into the design of exhibit in the Science and Technology as the intermedium with science and amusement. Then the audience would ponder the content of exhibit and get some useful information.The viewpoint that the emotional design of technical exhibit is based on the theory of affective education, emotional needs and emotional design in industrial design. The unique connotation of the emotional design of technical exhibit is endowed by the exhibit which is special on elements, content, purpose etc. , and the audience who is particular in the age, need, experience and culture. The connotation on exhibits'emotional design include three aspects: foster the audience's right appreciation of beauty, encourage the audience to communicate with exhibits by giving them the aspiring experience like success and happiness, or render the audience to ponder content of exhibits by awaking their sense feelings like curiosity.Three approaches on emotion-oriented learning have been summarized on the basis of the mode of sensibility production. People will learn by himself followed the curiosity which is motivated by visual factor. Some exhibits can be participate in, or simulate the classical experiments in the natural science history which the audience can take part in as a scientist. The little audience will get the aspiring experience from these exhibits and then strengthen their interests on learning. Also, the Science and Technology museum can build some scene by variety of exhibition. These scene are looked like so real that people as if be personally on the scene. Such exhibits will awaken the audience's sense feelings, like appetite for further knowledge and rational feeling, and then achieve the aim, spreading the science thought and approach. Finally the thesis concludes the concrete approaches and applies into the exhibit design of experiment and discovery part in Guangdong Science Center.
