A Developing Research On Chaozhou Opera As A Local Cultural Course In Senior Middle Schools

As one of the ten best-known Chinese operas, Chaozhou opera has a history of more than 400 years. It is a Confiicianism elegant local opera with distinguishing feature alone, which has inherited the tone from the Southern Chinese Opera, assimilated Chaozhou chants, dance and music. Chaozhou Opera has been the carrier of Chaozhou culture and the link between Chaozhouese at home and abroad. This research is to explore Chaozhou Opera as a Local Cultural Course in Senior Middle Schools, which can be divided into 4 sections: the general idea on developing research on Chaozhou opera as a local cultural course; the construction of Chaozhou Opera ethos and cultural values of middle school students; the tactics of the developing research on Chaozhou Opera as a local cultural course in senior middle schools; the implement of Chaozhou opera as a local cultural course. This paper expounds emphatically the implement of Chaozhou opera as a local cultural course and the design for two lesson types of selected and research courses.The aim of this research subject is to make good use of the dominance of local cultural resource of Choahou opera, collecting, exploring and propagating this excellent cultural resource, accumulated, approved and created by Chaozhouese over a long period of time, to help the students plant their cultural conception in the motherly earth, to cultivate their national and regional identification, and to higher their moral sentiments, shaping their sound and perfect personality.
