The Research About Teochew Opera Troupe’s Operation And Management Of Chaozhou City

Teochew Opera Troupe(TOT) of Chaozhou City is very typical in Teochew area since 1956. Within the process of history and the change of society, their operation style experienced multiple times of reformation which included the recombination in 1950 s, the frustration in Cultural Revolution era, the adjustment in Reform and Open-up era and the shift change of market environment in new century. All of them have become important turning point of TOT. Correspondingly, TOT has occurred profound shiftiness upon operation and management. In the past two decades, however, this troupe appeared a sort of trend of antinomy between growing reputation and existence crisis, which lead to a unprecedented diploma. Pointed at this situation and based on my analysis toward the troupe’s management history, this paper reflects the management difficulty of TOT as well as the relationship between the troupe and government. My purpose is picturing the troupe’s blue-print, and coming up with my own view about strategy modulation in the future.
