Topic Change

From domestic point of view, to date, the research productions of topic change are very few. Most issues which these productions talk about are associated with other issues of textual research, the scholars on this subject just summarize and classify some part of the issue of topic change, and these summaries and classifications can not make a group of system. Especially for the study of Chinese language corpus is a precious special research. The definition of the "topic of change" is not clear, the classification of the topic change is simple, and it lacks some researches about the constraints on the question of topic change study. It is hoped that it can be summed up some laws on the topic change through this study on the change issue, and fill the domestic gaps in certain aspects of research.Topic of research is carried out in the discourse analysis and discourse analysis of topic is an important part of the study. So far, the discourse analysis has become an important field of linguistics analysis. The use of the term, the academic world has not been unified, in order to avoid confusion of conceptual terminology, in this article we make a division of this two concepts: "context" refers specifically to written papers, and "discourse" refers specifically to spoken discourse, "Text "is both collectively. Topic as a important means of connection was gradually realized, and then the research on the topic was thought much of gradually. Topics are divided into two types, one is sentence topic, and the other is discourse topic. In this article we use the discourse topic. Discourse topic is neither a word or a sentence, nor a static proposition, it is a dynamic structure of the elements of the framework, the elements of the structure framework control the text which composed of a series of statements, of which the most important thing is the core elements of the structure fame work. So the definition of the topic change is that when a element of the structural framework reaches the central position of the structural framework, it will become the topic of text, and other elements of the framework will be a subsidiary. This relationship between the core and the subsidiary is relative. When a subsidiary element of the structural framework in accordance with need becomes the element as the core, the original core elements will fall to be the subsidiary elements. The original topic is going to change. Generally speaking, because of some reason, single addressor or both addressors do not want to continue to the original topic, so they will find a new topic to replace the original topic. After defining the concept of"topic change", the achievement and innovation in this article are as the following aspects:1, Summarizing and concluding the motive and timing of the topic change.According to the addressor whether forced to change topic or not, the reason of the topic change is divided into two kinds. A non-forced change, the topic which is talked about finished naturally and discussed fully. The other is the forced change, a new situation comes or a addressor is not interested in the current topic and requires to change another. The time of topic change is linked to the motivation of the topic change, and therefore the timing of the change topic is divided into two categories, one is when the original topic ends ,the new topic was introduced. The other is the original topic is not ending, but the new topic was introduced.2, Summarizing and classifying the topic change.Based on the relevance of the levels of topic change ,there will be the overall change topic and the individual topic change; based on the addressor whether influence is the main direction development of the change or not ,there will be the conscious topic change and unconscious topic change, and the conscious topic change can be divided into active topic change and negative change; based on whether the topic of change marked or not ,the subject will divided into the marked topic change and the unmarked topic change, of marked the topic change, there are two kinds ,the one is the speech marker topic change ,the other is non-speech marker topic change .3, the constraining factors of the topic change. As a development type of text, topic change has played a very important role in the convergence and coherence of text, at the same time, the communicative elements of text also constraint the topic change. Therefore, the four elements of verbal communication have certain role and law in the topic change. Communicative addressor, communicative purpose, communicative condition, communicative form in context, communicative form play constraining roles in the change, it is the general law in the topic change. At the same time, we also investigated the role of the different stylistic characteristics which constraint the topic change, and trying to find the law of them.Change study on the topic of text analysis very valuable, through the study of this article can be summed up some of the laws on the topic change, it will fill the domestic text analysis blank, and hopes that this paper can be to promote the further development of the theory. Research on the topic of change also help us deeply understanding a variety of mechanisms of the text structure, as well as the law of operation; from practical application point of view, the authors hope that through the above-mentioned research results people can improve the efficiency of the text use . Dealing with the relationship between good guys and language that is able to handle the relationship among people. If a addressor can master the law in the text topic change, the control of the topic will be more than easier, and according to the prevailing people can adjust the topic timely in a suitable manner, and then complete the communication. So that if the use of language is harmonious, the relationship between people will be harmonious.
