If life is a drift, home is the boat, the lough, and the bank in it. If life is an aviating, home is the wing, the sky and the nest. Home, as a culture sign, is a base of the weal, is the necessary part, and is the warm place need for everyone. At the same time, home is the traditional topic of literatures, which is described by many authors. In this paper, we analyse the novels of home, which are written by Chinese master Ba Jin and Japanese author Shimazaki Tooson. The modern family history of Chinese and Japanese, the weepy family stories, and the battle and pain of the youth in these two novels are presented. The present time is blundering and the freedom is inundant. Reading the classical novels can make us be clear in mind and consider our self accurately. In this one hundred years, the Chinese youth changed from pursuing freedom, to gaining freedom, and to inundant freedom. This paper compared the two novels of home, which are same of the theme and the background, but are different in culture. Ba Jin used realism in his novel, but Shimazaki Tooson used naturalism. Both of them depicted the sin of feudal family system, indicating it's ruining fate. Based on the different of establish of family culture and drinking and smoking culture, these two novel shows different cultural formation and connotation. The novel by Ba Jin bears the weight of confucian culture, and the novel by Shimazaki Tooson contained the complicated culture. Moreover, these two novel described the customs of Chinese and Japanese, and the destiny of woman in that condition. There are four chapters in this paper. The first chapter: discover of human and the perdition of home. When the feudal family system is in its last time, the youth with advancing thoughts discovered that they should live as the human. These youth are Jue Min, Qin, and Jue Hui in Ba Jin's novel, and are San Ji, Zheng Tai, and Xiao Jun in Shimazaki Tooson's novel. The opposition between these youth and the inkosi destroyed Ba Jin's family, but the descendiblity and foreordination wrecked Shimazaki Tooson's family. The second chapter: the embodiment of confucian culture and mixed culture. The family rule, confucian culture, and the drinking and smoking incarnate the destiny of character. In Japanese the eldest son own everything, but every children share their belongings in Chinese. The third chapter: marriage in no love and embarrassed mother love. By comparing the women and love in these novels, we find out there are relicts everywhere, in the existing or in the numinous. In summary, the two novels with the same name, the same topic and theme described the contact and different in Chinese and Japanese cultures. And both of them used drinking, smoking and tea-drinking to reveal the alone and doleful cultural psychology. The two authors want to find the hope for a way out, but with the condition they lived in, their hope is not perfection. With the developing of novel times, new family are establishing, it is very usefully to look back at this time.
