Objective: To investigate the smoking and drinking behaviors of several college students in Wuhu City,Anhui Province,and their association with five psychological factors through questionnaires to propose diversified suggestions for tobacco control and alcohol control for college students.Methods: The questionnaire was used to investigate 2292 college students from several universities in Wuhu City,Anhui Province.Stratified cluster sampling was used in the survey.The questionnaire included demographic basic information,smoking and drinking related problems and psychological scale(adolescent life events scale,Pittsburgh Sleep Scale,Rotter interpersonal trust scale,CPSS perceived psychological stress scale,college students' self-management scale)in the questionnaire of Chinese adolescent health behavior.To explore the relationship between smoking and drinking behavior of college students and these five psychological factors.Results: A total of 2292 valid questionnaires were sent out,994 men(43.37%)and1298 women(56.63%).Single factor analysis results: in terms of the age of first smoking,the proportion of students with a monthly family income of 3000-4999 Yuan who smoke for the first time at a young age is higher(P<0.05);the proportion of students with a father smoking behavior who smoke for the first time at a young age is higher(P<0.05);the proportion of students with a school type of undergraduate who smoke for the first time at a young age is higher(P<0.05).In terms of smoking severity,the proportion of boys who smoked mildly,moderately,or severely was higher than that of girls(P<0.05);the proportion of single-children was higher than that of non-single-children(P<0.05);monthly family income Students with less than1,000 yuan had a higher proportion of mild and moderate smoking,and those with a monthly household income of more than 10,000 yuan had the highest rate of heavy smoking(P<0.05);The proportion of light smoking was the highest among the students whose brothers and sisters had drinking behavior,the proportion of moderate smoking was the highest among the students whose other family members(except parents,brothers and sisters)had drinking behavior,and the proportion of heavy smoking was the highest among the students whose mothers had drinking behavior(P<0.05);The proportion of light,medium and heavy smoking in junior college students was higher than that in undergraduates(P<0.05).In terms of the age of first drinking,male students had a higher proportion of first drinking at a young age(P<0.05);students with a family income of 3000-4999 yuan had a higher proportion of first drinking at a young age(P <0.05);students with a father smoking behavior had a higher proportion of first drinking at a young age(P<0.05);students with a school type of undergraduate had a lower proportion of first drinking the proportion was high(P<0.05).In terms of drinking severity,the proportion of men drinking,drinking heavily and getting drunk is higher than that of girls(P<0.05);the percentage of drinking with a father's education of primary school or below is the highest,and the proportion of heavy drinking with bachelor's degree or above is the highest,High school or technical secondary school education has the highest percentage of drunkenness(P<0.05);college students whose father's occupation is freelance have a high proportion of drinking and drunkenness;students whose father's occupation is a civil servant and teacher have a higher proportion of heavy drinking(P<0.05);The proportion of students whose mother without regular occupations is high,and the proportion of students whose mothers are civil servants and teachers is heavy.The proportion of other members of the family who are smoking members is high,and the students whose mothers are smoking are heavy.The ratio of drinking and drunkenness is high(P<0.05);students with sibling drinking behaviors have a higher proportion of drinking and heavy drinking,and fathers have a higher proportion of drinking behaviors(P<0.05).,Severe drinking,drunk ratio was high(P<0.05).The proportion of students whose mother occupation is a non-fixed occupation is high in drinking and drunk,students whose mother's occupation is a civil servant or teacher have a high proportion of heavy drinking(P<0.05);In terms of family smoking behavior,the proportion of students with smoking behavior of other family members(except parents,brothers and sisters)who drink alcohol is high,In terms of family smoking behavior,the proportion of students with smoking behavior of other family members(except parents,brothers and sisters)who drink alcohol is high,the proportion of students with smoking behavior of their mothers who drink heavily and drunk is high;in terms of family drinking behavior,the proportion of students with drinking behavior of brothers and sisters who drink heavily and the proportion of students with drinking behavior of their fathers who drink heavily is high(P<0.05);the students with college type are high in the proportion of drinking,heavy drinking and drunkenness is high(P<0.05).The scores of life events,stress perception and self-management ability of adolescents with different smoking levels were statistically significant(P<0.05);the scores of life events,Pittsburgh sleep,stress perception and self-management of adolescents with different drinking levels were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the correlation between the degree of smoking and drinking and psychological factors,the degree of smoking had a negative correlation with self-management ability,a positive correlation with adolescent life events,stress perception and Pittsburgh sleep(P<0.05);the degree of drinking had a negative correlation with self-management ability,a positive correlation with adolescent life events,stress perception and Pittsburgh sleep(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis results showed that in smoking behavior,there were many negative life events(OR = 1.017,95% CI: 1.017-1.022),strong sense of stress(OR = 1.035,95% CI: 1.021-1.050),men(OR = 4.283,95% CI:3.407-5.384),non-only children(OR = 1.334,95% CI: 1.062-1.675),siblings having family drinking behaviors are risk factors for smoking among college students(OR =3.134,95% CI : 1.482-6.63);strong self-management ability(OR = 0.993,95% CI:0.988-0.998),household income 1000-2999 yuan(OR = 0.502,95% CI: 0.340-0.740),3000-4999 yuan(OR = 0.455,95% CI: 0.320-0.647),5000-10000 yuan(OR = 0.619,95% CI: 0.444-0.863),undergraduate schools(OR = 0.580,95% CI: 0.465-0.723)are smoking behaviors of college students Protective factors.In drinking behavior,there were many negative life events(OR = 1.012,95% CI: 1.008-1.016),poor sleep quality(OR = 1.036,95% CI: 1.005-1.069),and strong sense of stress(OR = 1.016,95 % CI: 1.003-1.028),men(OR = 2.067,95% CI: 1.700-2.513)are risk factors for drinking alcohol among college students;strong self-management ability(OR = 0.981,95% CI: 0.976-0.985),undergraduate schools(OR = 0.783,95% CI: 0.644-0.953)is a protective factor for college students drinking.Conclusion: smoking and drinking behaviors of college students are relatively common,which are closely related to demographic factors,life events,stress level,self-management ability,and psychological factors of sleep conditions.All relevant departments should strengthen publicity,popularize the harm of tobacco and alcohol to individuals,and control the use of tobacco and alcohol by college students.Pay attention to the mental health of college students,reduce the smoking and drinking behaviors caused by mental problems,and provide a good environment for college students to have a healthy mental and physical state.
