Two economical changes in the new era lead to the topic of the thesis. First, the information society has come into being. Information plays unprecedented important role in modern society. Therefore, as the professional information producer and transformer, the media become the core of the society. The second change is that the experience economy has take place of the manufacturing industry. The culture industry is just one of the forms of experience economy. As the culture can fulfill the mentality need, the culture has its exchange value in the market. In this context, the role of the culture and the media has also changed. How the culture and the media operate the new roles and how the two roles interact are the main subjects of the thesis.The paper explores the interaction of the culture and the media in the culture industry theoretically and with the typical case. The paper includes five parts. First of all, we will trace back the history of the culture and the media, acquainting whether the culture and the media have economic function, and why the function works today. On the basis of the founding, the paper will probe into the cooperation of the culture and the media in the culture industry. The culture organization and the media has its own advantage and disadvantage, which is the base of the operation. What is the representation of the operation? At the same time, as the culture and the media has each other distinct purpose, the two organizations will have confliction in the process of operation. What is the representation of the conflict? The typical case the paper selected is the Blockbuster of Terra-Cotta Warriors & Qin Culture. Through the practical case, we can have detail of the cooperation and the conflict, and then we can find out how to keep balance between the cultural organization and the media. Finally, we draw the conclusion that the cultural organization and the media in the context of culture industry have close relationship. The cultural organization and the media should compromise with each other, and then they will get two-two win.
