Facing all students and bringing them all-round development is the main feature of the quality-oriented education. Comprehensively enhancing the information quality of the students is the request of the curriculum standards of high school information technology. But it is an reality that different high school students have different levels of information, and at present, from the point of the teaching methods, we can not take into account the differences in our classroom. Therefore, we are facing a new topic, namely, we should explore a new teaching method, which faces all the students and promotes everyone's development and progress . Hierarchical Approach is such a teaching method which pays attention to the differences of the students. There are two purposes of this research. The first one is to explore a teaching methods of information technology which suits for the students of all levels and is good for their development; the second one is to seek after a method enhancing the interest of the students in information technology classroom . The main research methods that we adopt in this study are as following: documentation method, survey method, practice and research method and observation method etc.Hierarchical approach is to promote the students'all-round development according to the different levels of psychology and their unique personalities, and it adopts the teaching method based on the students'learning specialties and benefits all the students. This approach is based on the theory of humanism, zone of proximal development, multiple intelligence and quality-oriented education. This paper defines the definition of the hierarchical approach and sums up its characteristics. It also puts forward the principles of the applying the teaching approach and the requirements of the teaching faculties. This paper brings forward the application procedures of hierarchical approach in high school information technology teaching courses based on the new curriculum standards, namely, the seven steps as following: survey mapping, different levels and groups for the students, levels of object, stratified teaching, stratified counseling, hierarchical assessment and feedback and dynamic adjustment. And it also discusses in details the operational method and the noticing aspects of the seven steps. And the two aspects should be emphasized: on the one hand, it highlights the importance of survey and mapping students and dynamic adjustment. We can understand the recent learning levels of the students and put the students into the most appropriate group through the survey and mapping and the feedback, and then the teachers can apply the hierarchical teaching approach; on the other hand, each step puts reasonable attention on the influence of emotional factors on the students, and makes effort to build the equal and harmonious relationship between the teachers and students to create a good atmosphere of coorperation and competition among students, then the students can give full play to the autonomy initiatives. The teachers should focus on the training of the students'interests of learning, study habits and self-confidence.This paper gives detailed cases of teaching and they are the true record of the real teaching contexts in the classrooms, and the detailed application of the seven steps of hierarchical approach. In the feedback the author analyzes the success and the failures, and the reason of such effects. The author formulates measures to improve the existing problems and makes the second attempt. In this paper, the author compares the academic performance and learning attitudes before and after the experiment before and analyzes the changes. The analysis shows that the hierarchical approach plays a clear promoting role to the experimental group both in the academic performance and the learning attitudes. The hierarchical approach improves not only the classroom teaching efficiency but also the students'learning interests and self-confidence, and it promotes the all-round improvement of the quality of teachers. In this paper, the author sums up the consideration during the research, and proposes the issues to be addressed in the future research.
