Guizi and Dongxi are the writers from Guangxi, the land of red soil, and they are also the up-and- coming writers in the literary world. Their works focus on the realistic and spiritual life of nobodies in the lower class. Though they are quite different in writing style, they share a lot in common in writing content and aesthetic pursuit which are characterized by humane concern and mercifulness. The present paper analyses the influence of west north of Guangxi, their home town, on their literary traits. And through the illustration of the connotations of the subject matter of their novels, the authors'potential intention implied in the texts has been revealed. Focusing on depicting the commoners, their novels describe the realistic and spiritual life of the common people and probe the human nature. The paper further analyses that both writers stick to writing the weak and their hardships and in their works the weak struggle in the woeful plight of life, tasting the despair and hope of existence amid the punishment of desire and alienation. And the paper concludes that instead of solving realistic problems, their works attempt to reflect culture, human nature and society from moral, ethical, political and historical aspects, and at last trace to the search of the realistic well being and perfect spirit homeland.
