In this paper, the author tries to clarify the relationship between the self-identity status of the university students and the interaction of the informal group. And based on the theory of self-identity, analyzes the actuality of the self-identity status of the university students, finds that three significant factors which effect the self-identity development are the status in group, the perceived group support and group identity.The search used questionnaire survey method and qualitative research method. The author does her eyes on the affection of self-identity of the university students in the informal group interaction systematically, dynamically and panoramically. The relevant results are illustrated as following:In whole, those who do participate in the informal group demonstrate an uneven distribution in identity status. The largest portion is the students on identity diffusion-moratorium status, which accounts for 54.1 percent; the following are the students on identity moratorium status, and identity achievements-foreclosure status, while the students on identity achievement, foreclosure and identity diffusion status, each of group takes up less then 5 percent respectively. These data show that identity of students in group is in the seedtime now.The self-identity status of the university students improve by the intercourse in the group. No matter which status at, the student figures that the group interaction affects his character profoundly.Three significant factors which effect the self-identity development are the status in group, the perceived group support and group identity. In whole, these all assume positive to the identity status.
