University Students Creative Characteristics Research: Mental Factuality And Effect Of Internal-External Tendency Of Cognition And Personality

Creativity is an important and complicated mental treat. There are so many different conceptions about creative from different psychologist. Recently cross-psychologists find some clues that there are some significant differents between people from Estern and Western countury. The study which based on cross-pyschology investigated the creative characteristics structure to exploration wheather there are creativity internal-external characteristics.The study adopted the method of survey study. Based on pre-survey apply the method of standard psychological questionnaire making The Ponsonality and Creation Word Questionaire and The Creativity internal-external characteristics Questionaire. The study selected at random 1187 colleges students from 6 college of WuHan as objects, questionnaire survey was carried out with 1192 effective questionnaires recovered. The results of descriptive statistics, factor analysis of variance of survey data as follows:(1) By multiple statistic method the report finally decides the personality characteristics items, which are factor analyzed into 40 items, 7 factors and further combined into 2 dimensions. Collective personality dimension includes relational, responsible and delightful; individualism personality dimension includes initiative, independent, self-disciplined and expression.( 2 ) By multiple statistic method the report finally decides the creativity characteristics items, which are factor analyzed into 37 items, 6 factors and further combined into 2 dimensions. Creative internal characteristics dimension includes analyze, thorough, unique, determination and adventuresome, Creative external characteristics dimension includes just relational.(3)There existed significant difference in university students on major and sex at the individualism personality dimensions, but the collective personality dimensions difference is not distinct.(4)There is remarkable major and sex main effect within creative internal characteristics and external characteristics. It can prove that the creative internal characteristics are more important than external characteristics in the college student's opinion for creation. But Chinese college students also believe that external characteristics make more important role in their lives.
