Through the ages, ideal personality is regarded as the goal of moral education, which reflects the will of people under a certain social culture background and social productivity developing level to realize their own achievements of the desire and pursuit of perfect personality. The Settings of the Chinese ideal personality is the Pre-Qin Confucian’s "saint king" personality. The so-called "saint king personality" is generally referred to as the "internal saint external king" personality, its meaning differs in different research perspectives and levels. This article’s research is focused on the abstract meaning of ideal personality and its value of modern moral education, thus the understanding of ideal personality is also focused on the general analysis of the value. From the abstract sense,"internal saint external king" refers to a kind of personality which places emphasis on both internal moral sublimation of spirit and individual achievement of external social and political field. It regards the individual’s moral practice as a first follow-up relationship. One should first accomplish the inner moral practice and then turns the moral conscience of identity into the external moral practice. This kind of ideal personality paradigm set embodies the traditional social’s theory of the "nature and humanity" internal transcendence consciousness and the moral ultimate care for the value of individual life.Because of the cultural differences of ideal personality, different culture has ideal personalities differs in the meaning, the form and the spirit which further influences the ways and qualities of moral education. Since China’s reform and opening up, on the one hand, people’s living environment and living standards have improved dramatically, to realize the great Renaissance of the Chinese nation becomes the unremitting pursuit of the Chinese nation; On the other hand, along with the social reform diving in the key stage, the social moral field is faced with a series of ethical dilemmas to be solved. The emergence of the moral problems is mainly due to the contradictory between modem instrumental rationality and the traditional value in the process of social transformation. And it caused the fragmentation of moral values and the formalization of moral practice. Therefore, regaining the highest generalization of traditional morality, the so-called "internal saint external king" personality and regarding it as a bridge to combine the traditional moral value with the modern moral education can provide solutions for solving the modern moral problems.The eighteenth congress puts forward the era calls for "Building the inheritance system of excellent traditional culture, and carry forward Chinese excellent traditional culture." The new generation of collective leadership, led by the general secretary Xi jinping also pays much attention to the traditional moral resources. For example, the President Xi jinping insists that leaders need to have the "governance powers as cooked fresh" attitude, which is from the speech of Laozi. Indeed, its meaning coincides with the "internal saint external king" in thinking and understanding, which is a kind of complementary to the Confucianism thought. It can be seen that the "internal saint external king" personality contains a profound national spirit and moral feelings, to some extent, it can become the important basis for the evaluation of modem moral philosophy and moral practice. This article’s research focuses on the "internal saint external king" personality as the core research object, which mainly analyses the meaning and the value of the "internal saint external king" personality changed with the times. On the basis of mining its rational elements for the modern moral education, this article is aimed to seek the specific path of the combination of the "internal saint external king" personality and the modern moral education.The first chapter of this article aimed at carrying out the theoretical logic construction. On the basis of defining the definition of ideal personality, this part is mainly to clarify the concept of "personality","ideal personality" and "ideal personality" to research in this paper and their relationships. This part also points out the differences between the Chinese and western ideal personality construction, especially in cultural background and thinking philosophy. Through the comparison we can highlight the essence of Chinese ideal personality construction, and further lead to the establishment of ideal personality for moral education benefits and to explore the necessity and inevitability of ideal personality. In chapter two, this article begins to enter the center of the argument on the basis of theoretical construction. This part is mainly analyze the construction of the Pre-Qin "internal saint external king" personality. This part is mainly based on Confucian classics as a reference to clear the concept, the characteristics and the theoretical support of the "internal saint external king" personality and summarized its social moral strength in economic, political and cultural reasons, and the reason why it remains in the era of universal appeal.The third chapter of this article tries to review and comment the value of times of the ideal personality. This part is the core part of the whole research, which mainly focuses on the "internal saint external king" personality’s age limitation, age penetration, and age rationality. It affirms the social responsibility consciousness, keeps the moral personality of individuality and group in the balance, as well as maintains the individual moral autonomy. It is also the needs of seeking cultural power, solving modern moral dilemmas and achieving the individual self-worth currently.The fourth chapter of this article is the summary of the whole research. This part is trying to combine the Confucian ideal personality’s era of penetration with today’s moral education in responding to the requirements of The eighteen congress. Further to explore its special path through the current Settings, school moral education, and moral education theory of practice to combine the traditional moral education resources with modern moral education feasibly.
