In the early 1930s, the situation at home and abroad was changeable. On the one hand,Japan's invasion of china was endless, and on the other, under the leadership of Chinese Communist the soviet government and the Red Army grew rapidly. To consolidate the rule of the Kuomintang, Chiang kai-shek took the policy of "pacifing the interior before resisting foreign aggression". In such a case, in order to survive and follow up the anti-japanese movement, other denominations rose in opposition to Chiang kai-shek. In 1933, the outbreak of Fujian Incident was a typical case. For dealing with the riots, Chiang kai-shek racked his brains. However, no research has hitherto been made on this particular subject of Chiang kai-shek's attitude and strategy on it. Based on the recent public historical data, a preliminary study on the subject will be made in this dissertation.Chapter 1 gives an introduction of the historical background to the incident. Chapter 2 explains Chiang kai-shek's reaction and attitude to the accidens. Chapter 3 is one of the most important parts in this paper. In which I explores Chiang kai-shek's strategy to deal with this unforseen event. After the incident was suppressed, Chiang kai-shek immediately set about cleaning up. Chapter 4 focuses on dealing with the problems arising from the accident and discusses the reconstruction in Fujian province and restarting the fifth "encircle and suppress" against Red Army of Chiang kai-shek. Chapter 5 , which can be said is also one of the most important elements for the paper, will analyze the influence that the incident has brought to Chiang kai-shek, then discuss the transformation of the unified strategy, the changement of the unified way and the intensification and alteration of the policy of "pacifing the interior before resisting foreign aggression" of Chiang Kai-shek.
