The Study On Different Chinese Versions Of Sukhāvatīvyūha

In this paper,we take four different Chinese translations of the same Buddhist scripture as our research object.They are Amituo Sanyesanfo Saloufotan Guodu Rendao Jing of Zhiqian in Wu,Wuliangshou Jing of Kang Sengkai in Caowei, Wuliang Qingjing Pingdengjue Jing of Zhu Fahu in Xijin,Wuliangshou Rulaihui of Puti Liuzhi in Tang.Taking vocabulaly research of these four different Chinese translations of Wuliangshou jing for example,we explain the important position and great value of different translations of the same Buddhist scripture in inspecting the exact meanings of words,seeking the process of historical development of Chinese vocabulary,checking and correcting of Buddhist scriptures.Besides,we point out some places that should be attached importance to in making use of different translations of the same Buddhist scripture to research the history of Chinese vocabulary.This paper falls into 4 parts:In the first chapter,the author mainly introduces the different versions,the content,current research of Wuliangshou Jing,and tell the reason why select these four versions.Then the author focuses on the reason and current research of these four different Chinese translations of Wuliangshou Jing.In the second chapter,we compare the words of these four different Chinese translations of Wuliangshou jing.By doing it,we excavates certain words and expressions' evolution.In the third chapter,we elaborate the value of different translated Buddhist texts with the same contents on collating the Chinese translations of Buddhist scripture contents on collating the Chinese translations of Buddhist scripture.The errors include different cases such as "redundancy of words","mistaken words" and "lose of words "etc.In the fourth chapter,based on the comparative study in the different Chinese versions of Sutra,the author expound the function that vocabulary study to large-scale Chinese dictionary revise,divide into three respects,supplement the explanation, supplement the words,documented evidence ahead of time.This part has proved the meaning in an all-round way that vocabulary study to the Chinese dictionary compil.
