The campus culture is the very important soft strength to the development of the common higher education; it influences the development of teachers, the shape of the students and even the development of the institution itself. There are many factors which influence the construction and development of campus culture, one of these factors is the music education. Now there are much study on music education and campus culture, but there are little on the relation of the foregoing. So the study choose the theory and practice of music education in the common higher education institutions advances the construction and development of campus culture as the study object, use the mean of literature, the investigate and etc to study. On theory, music education overlap the construction and development of campus culture very much, it advances the construction and development of campus culture through culture and improve the making of stutents,enrich the work and life of teachers and accelerate the whole atmosphere of the campus. But in reality, the function that music education advances the construction and development of campus culture hasn't been play very much. Though investigation and analysis, The paper finds the following causes: the understand have warp, the courses have problems, the rank of teachers have problems and short of investments the paper bring forward the following practice measures:leaders,teachers and others who relate to the institutions should understand the important significance of music education to the construction and development of campus culture; improve the courses from the setup of courses, the aim of courses, the content of teaching and the means of teaching; construct a good rank of teachers and increases the invest to entirely play the important significance of the music education to the construction and development of campus culture.
