| World over, multicultural music education is not only the focus of modern music education circles, but also the trend of music education development. In this thesis, multicultural music education in higher education institutes is researched. The thesis is divided into four chapters to expose the theory and practice of multicultural music education in higher education institutes. In chapter one, the theory of multicultural music education research is introduced, multiculture and multicultural music education are defined. In chapter two, the current inner and outer situations of multicultural music education are analyzed. In chapter three, by comparing the multicultural music education in China with that in foreign countries, the necessity of developing multicultural music education in higher education institutes in China is recognized. Meanwhile, according to the national policy, reformation of basic music course and mental and physical characters of college students, the possibility of carrying out multicultural music education is recognized. Chapter four is the main part of the thesis. In this chapter, the assumed measures of implementing multicultural music education in higher education institutes are brought up from six aspects:the position, the course arrangement, education resources, teaching method, culture exchange and teachers. In the conclusion, the prospect of multicultural music education is exposed, and the possible problems and solutions are analyzed. |
