A significant transformation has taken place in Chinese society in the late 19th and early 20th century.During the period,traditional Chinese culture has been undertaking a conflict against that of western hemisphere and modern Chinese aestheties and aesthetic education theories begin to sprout and develop.Under the profound influence of modern western aesthetics,especially with the introduction of the concept of aesthetic disinterestedness,Chinese aesthetics and aesthetic education theories take an important turn in pursuiting the aesthetics.However,sinee the Opium War,the social theme of saving the nation from subjugation and ensuring its survival opens before the public, so the aestheticians have their strong sense of responsibility of saving nation melt into aesthetic theory system.Their aesthetic theories are on the whole theories of aesthetic values that argued for the transformation of mind and the improvement of life through the aesthetics and art.As a thinker, politician and scholar,Liang Qichao's aesthetics and aesthetic education theories have distinctive connecting characteristics.Liang Qichao's aesthetics and aesthetic thoughts have a continuously developing process in the early and evening of his life.Liang Qichao's life is bounded by European Tour.At the earlier stage,as a social reformer,his thoughts on aesthetic problems mainly focus on the literature,his practice of aesthetic education takes the form of "resolution in poetic circle,revolution in fiction circle and revolution in prose circle".These revolutions have bright political background.He demands that aesthetics and art directly serve politics,hoping to achieve his political purpose by aesthetics.His aesthetic education thoughts have a character of utilitarianism and an orientation of salvation.It is obviously not successful.However,it has a lot in innovation.He is impatient and rattled under the realistic requirement of saving the nation from subjugation,ensuring its survival.At the later stage,Liang Qiehao is calm and easy.Liang Qichao thinks over the problem from the revolution at the early stage to metaphysical thought.He believes that the true civilization is spirit, and pays more attention to the nature of aesthetics and internal regularity.He also puts forward and explains the important aesthetic category named "interest" which is rich in individuality.Liang Qichao's thoughts are complex,and the partition to his life is vague.In fact,his life is an integrated whole.It is really indivisible.Liang Qichao's aesthetic education thoughts focus on emotional education and interesting education.Liang Qichao thinks that emotion is sacred,mysterious,and pre-scientific.Knowledge, emotion and will are indispensable,so emotional education is necessary.The carrier of emotional education is art,and the process of emotional education affecting the mind of people is the process of"four force" of literature affecting the mind of people.Liang Qichao often combines with concrete literary works and writers when he talks about emotional education,so his theories have distinct practice guidance.Liang Qichao puts forward interesting education on the basis of western thoughts, traditional culture and the problem of aesthetics and life at that time.Interesting education is on the basis of unique theory of interest which emphasizes the significance of aesthetics and interest to life. Liang Qicheo also presents three sources of interest for everyone to enjoy the fun education aiming to build "interest life" which is the integration of truth-seeking,moral-establishing and artistry and ideal life.Liang Qichao's aesthetic education thoughts is original.It has far-reaching historical and cultural value and it is of great enlightenment and realistic significance.
