The Research On Chen Yu-jiao And His Qu Works

Chen Yu-jiao is an important dramatist in mid and late part of Ming Dynasty, and the extant drama and Sanqu works written by him are very full. However, for a long time, the experts pay great attention to its drama contents, but they neglect Chen's Sanqu and other aspects to discuss.To this point, this article base on predecessors' materials, seeking the new materials, and makes further analysis to research on Chen Yu-jiao's biography, relation between Chen Yu-jiao and the Wu Jiang Pai, the drama and Sanqu's characteristic. Besides the introduction, the main text is divided three chapters to discuss Chen Yu-jiao's questions concerned specifically and thoroughly.The first chapter collects Chen Yu-jiao's biography related and literatural materials with every effort, including Chen Yu-jiao's family background, the official career and so on. Simultaneously, I comb briefly to Chen Yu-jiao's biography in various aspects, this has laid the foundation of Chen Yu-jiao's questions related. I understand the situations that Chen Yu-jiao's manner, for the official, for study and so on. This may build the platform of questions related to research Chen Yu-jiao deeply. About the ownership of Yu Yang Xian Shi, the academic circle has the argument early, however conclusion is difficultly persuasive. Since it has been demonstrated that Chen Yu-jiao and Wang Ji-de both use the name of Yu Yang, two people have the same possibility of Yu Yang Xian Shi, the article has the concrete argument in this aspect. Since the Yu Yang Xian Shi doesn't have the conclusion, the question that Yu Yang Xian Shi related is to be worth to further discuss in subsequent studies.The second chapter analyzes Chen Yu-jiao and the Wu Jiang Pai's relation. The Wu Jiang Pai has the different sending standards in the beginning of Wu Jiang Pai. This chapter analyzes systematicly and comprehensivly from the temperament, the thought, the language, making friends and so on. Thus I elaborates Chen Yu-jiao and the Wu Jiang Pai's relation, and proved Chen Yu-jiao should belong to the Wu Jiang Pai.The third chapter summaries the artistic achievement of Chen Yu-jiao's drama works (four legends and three Zajus), as well as these works' characteristic in the whole. This chapter also analyzes the reason that Chen Yu-jiao reorganizes Li Kai-xian's Bao Jian Ji, some evidences demonstrate that Chen Yu-Jiao reorganizing Bao Jian Ji to Ling Bao Dao mainly stems from the temperament, we may see this point in the second chapter, to expert this, but also having other reasons. Moreover, I elaborate the questions that caused by the arrangement of plot as well as the reason that Ling Bao Dao failed to Bao Jian Ji. Last burl analyzes Sanqu's characteristic of Chen Yu-jiao carrying on, this is that the predecessors has not been engaged in the work. Chen Yu-jiao's Sanqu researched is to be impossible to attend in every detail, this chapter analyzes it to make more efforts in the objective foundation.This article in the foundation which the predecessors' studies analyzes and discusses a drama writer of Ming Dynasty further, the area involves author's biography, the official career, the faction divided, the Zaju, the legend, the Sanqu and various aspects. From this,we determine the significance and value of Chen Yu-jiao's works and Chen Yu-jiao's status in the history of drama.
