Eave Tile is a kind of art object of penthouse top and decoration value in China ancient architecture.Although it is a kind of ancient architecture's object,but one can feel the eaves tile grain type to the ornamentation of Tile Ends.People are naturally simple,have the most direct viewing of aesthetic understanding and expression,just like human in the childhood time.This kind of nature and the pure beauty is what modern art designer tracks down and use today.In economical globalization today,Chinese traditional spirit charm which eaves tile grain type manifests,is still the basic for modern art design.So,to explore the artistic channing of ornamentation of Tile Ends is the purpose of this essay.First:Through the previous thesis data gathering and field work(mainly focused on museums and cultural ruins),I was able to get close to a large number of Tiles Ends and their emblazonry.The discussion with the local professionals deepened my understanding of the sources and development of Tiles Ends,and made the object of my study,which fairly vague before,clear and coherent in my mind.Secondly,the field work made me rediscover Tiles Ends;add more relevant data; collect research materials as much as possible;search related data that spread about in research,local magazines and within in-house journals compiled by local cultural department;sum up and conclude;embed all above into the framework of the thesis study so as to make the integration of projects convenient.This article try to constitute the origin of art as an entry point,based on the ancient decoration of Tile Ends,explore elements of its decoration,form art and aesthetic significance;at the same time,on the basis of a large number of related historical and archaeological art literature,expounded the application of Tile Ends's ornamentation in modern arts,in order to explore Tile Ends's ornamentation in modern art design and application of the purpose of academic value.
