The Research Of World Red Swastika Society (1922-1953)

In this paper,World Red Swastika Society is the study object.As a religious charitable organizations,it was created by Tao Yuan,and actived in the charitable arena as long as three decades,and committed to relief a variety of disaster,and achieved great success,and is an outstanding one betewen the charitable organizations of the same period,and is the most important charitable organizations.At present,the research of World Red Swastika Society remain in the introductory level,or only to part of the organization,or limited to the local branch of the case studies,and lack of a comprehensive and systematic research.This study will help to promote the research of World Red Swastika Society in-depth study.Basised on the results of previous studies,this paper take historical materialism as the basic theory guide,and use the theory and research methods of the history,religion,sociology, culture,science,political science to analyse the existing historical material comprehensively by multi-angle and multi-level,and make a comprehensive syudy on the creation and the evolution and the internal operating mechanism and the charitable activities of World Red Swastika Society,and make a conclusion that it is a most important charitable organizations in the Republic of China.World Red Swastika Society is created by Tao Yuan and only allow the person from Tao Yuan to join in and basised on Tao Yuan organizations,but was independent from Tao Yuan,which had created a relatively complete system of organizations. From the vertical view,it had created the Chinese Association in Beijing,and a large number of branches throughout the country,or even scattered in other countries,and had form a relatively large network;From the horizontal view,it had created a more complete set of functional departments and a clear division of labor and a relatively perfect system of management.World Red Swastika Society had carried out a variety of charitable activities,which can be divided into two categories:permanent and temporary-chee-chee Services. During the long-term practice of r relief,World Red Swastika Society had gradually formed a more effective mechanism and accumulated a lot of valuable experience by absorbing experiences and lessons from the ancient China and foreign. In short,the World Red Swastika Society had occupied an important position in the charitable organizations of the Republic of China.
