Research On Strategic Reorganization Of Urban Theater Lines

The occurrence of cinema line system in China is the outcome of market economy and also the need of the social development.The introduction of the cinema line system is a landmark initiative in the transformation of the Chinese film industry.It is an important mark that Chinese cinema has been slowly adopting a market-oriented model.The production model,distributing model and showing model under the planned economy had broken,and in China a relatively stable market structure has formed,many cinemas accumulated certain amount of commercial experience in operation.However,the supply chain of film is still not mature.Cinema act as showing on the chain,relates to the circulation of the whole industry investment, and the profits obtained,is still facing many constraints and obstacles such as property fight,funds,marketing,etc.This paper examines China cinema line history and current status from strategic management point of view,to provide an alternative showing model for the future development of the cinema line system in China,and suggestions about theaters reform,thus to promote overall development of the Chinese film industry.This thesis is divided into four parts,altogether six chapters:The first part is "overview",which makes an introduction of the research background,subject and significance of the study as well as the research method,the framework of the thesis, and film industry theory in detail,to emphasize the importance of cinema line in film supply chain.The second parts gives a brief account of the history and current situation of the film distribution system in China,and then makes a comparison between the cinema line system in China and the United States.It also applies Michael E.Porter's theory of competition,in light of the competitive environment of the cinema line,to point out the necessity of cinema line reorganization.The third part is the central concerns of the current research.This part analyzes domestic film current status, industry character,market structure and cinema line formation model in more detail, and then summarizes feasibly strategic option of cinema reform through relevant practice examples.Finally,the part provides tactics and proposals for film industry further development,as well as protection mechanism which help control the implementation of the strategy.The last part makes conclusion and summarizes the defects and innovation.
