The Return Of The Real

The main subject of this thesis is about the problems of the realism sculpture of public art in contemporary discourse.Around this problem,based on the development of art history series,with the integrated use of sociology,cultural history,the formalism analysis,contemporary public art theory and other theories and methods,the thesis showed it's own way of analysis and interpretation to this issue,and made its own answer on this issue eventually.This article discussed the following aspects:the first part discussed the concept of realism and showed its definition and analysis which from both broad and narrow meaning.On this basis of the development about realism sculpture in the history of the arts,the author discussed the problem and the future way of the realism sculpture in the situation of encountering contemporary problems and difficulties.Furthermore,the following part of this thesis given specific discussions to the realism sculpture of public art in contemporary discourse and some related issues,this part used the social critique theory "spectacle society" as a support,discussed the significance and its direction of the realism sculpture in the context of contemporary public art which also made the answer to the central topic of this article.From this thesis the author pointed out that the significance and direction of the realism sculpture of public art in contemporary discourse both conclude that the return of the real,it includes two kinds of meanings:First,return to the reality of the contemporary lives;Second,expand the space of the show.Then based on this conclusion, referring to the practice and reflection of the author's own experience of artistic creation,as well as analysis and discussion of some well-known contemporary realism sculptures,the last part of this thesis also discussed that the illumination of the public art principle in realism sculpture for the author's art production and other things concerned.
