Not a few educationalists and theorists have done various researches on teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. They, from different points of view, have put forward views about teaching Chinese as a foreign language in China, which has greatly promoted the development of teaching. Simultaneously, all kinds of Chinese teaching materials have come out abroad in recent years. These materials not only enriched the Chinese teaching, but also brought a lot of convenience to all teachers working on teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. However, questions arise here: are these materials proper; is there something for Chinese teachers to refer to and also to absorb in those publications about teaching Chinese as a foreign language abroad? In this thesis I try to have an analysis to these questions..Based at the Faculty of English Korea Inje University Internship, I have students of English Department of Inje University in Chinese language teaching materials for an investigation. In this paper, I mainly focus to explore problems in present teaching materials of Korean language versions. My investigation and analysis cover three aspects ranging from pronunciation, vocabulary to grammar. Besides, I also study exercises in some Chinese textbooks in Korea, and thus have a better understanding of the contrast between materials published in Mainland China and Korea, aiming to find out differences between Korean writers of Chinese teaching materials and those at home. One careful analysis to the investigation exposes that the Korean versions of Chinese language teaching have features of their own in spelling tagging, vocabulary and grammar, but still there are some notable problems, like their shortcoming in after-school practices ignoring differences between Chinese and the Korean one. Improved in this aspect, Korean versions of Chinese language teaching are expected to assist students to master habits of Chinese speaking through the exercises without being influenced by their mother tongue. All in all, by contrasting the Korean versions of Chinese language teaching materials and domestic ones, I target to figure out something beneficial to our further writing and editing Chinese teaching materials as well as adopting appropriate teaching methods for students from different countries.
