Art is a product of culture, affected by the impact of different cultures, Chinese and Western painting as a natural expression of different connotations. Chinese freehand painting trends, has its roots deep thought; trend performance of Western painting, seen in the modern Western art history, both arising from different cultural backgrounds, but they all share a common set of characteristics: the nature of the spirit of the painting -- freehand spirit. In this paper, the core is the spirit of both freehand comparison.
