Researching On The Relations Between Adolescent Self-disclosure With Peers And Loneliness

Self-disclosure study is the most important area about self-study in psychology . Psychologists found that the behavior of expressing personal information have significant psychological meaning. Self-expression is the necessary link in individual growing and self-realizing. It is the effective way in personal impressive management and in facing pressure.It is also the good way in psychological treatment. The present study descripts the content of self-disclosure and connect it with loneliness. The writer used the questionnaire on adolescent self-disclosure with peers and the questionnaire of loneliness of adolescent as research tools to study the self-disclosure and loneliness condition of 590 students of four schools in Tonghua and Baishan . The research used compare means , varianceanalysis (ANVOA)and correlation analysis and so on.The result shows:(1) there are significant differences among the level of 7 dimensions of the students'self-disclosure Among the seven topics of adolescent self-disclosure with peers cont parent-child relationship ranks first, the others are tastes and interests, experiences in school, academic performance, attitudes and opinion friendship and physical development.(2) There are no significant differences in sex and urban and rural areas in the level of adolescent self-disclosure, but there is significant differences in sex on the dimension of physical development, in the same time , the students in urban and rural areas are significant different in the self-disclosure of tastes and interests.(3) There are significant differences in grades . The level of self-disclosure of grade 2 of junior middle school is significant less than grade 1 of senior middle school. There are significant differences between grade 2 of senior middle school and other grades of middle school. The level of self-disclosure is more than other grades.(4)The adolescents disclose themselves to their best same sex friends more than to their heterosexual friends and common friends. Girls disclose more to their best same sex friends than boys, but boys disclose more to heterosexual friends and common friends than girls.(5) The level of adolescent self-disclosure with peers and the sense of loneliness is negative correlation.
