Post is the united communication organization handled with modern management by the country and the national economic production department mainly transferring information. Postal delivery has great responsibility for making sure the social communication unblocked through widely serving the government and people by carrying information with material objects.From 1896, when Qing Post was officially established, to the critical days of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the postal service in Chongqing had obtained a good development. Post offices, transferring lines and various postal businesses followed closely behind the pace of development of the National Post; although it grew relatively slowly, yet it had strong internal needs and good foundation for the rapid development during the Anti-Japanese War.After Anti-Japanese War broke out, with the westward moving of National Government to Chongqing, and the subsequent internal migration of a large number of agencies, businesses enterprises, colleges and universities, the rapid growth of Chongqing's postal facilities and business caused its continuous progress. At the same time, the tremendous achievement in Chongqing's postal services conversely promoted national economy and cultural dissemination, and facilitated the people's lives. It should be noted that Chongqing postal development in the War of Resistance Against Japan was mainly stimulated by an external condition which the government's westward migration, so it had a large jump and dependence. Post in Chongqing during the War of Resistance Against Japan is a tremendous contribution in the southwest of the motherland. By taking a great responsibility and overcoming difficulties, it fostered splendid "the spirit of Chongqing's Post", which dedicated power to "the spirit of the Anti-Japanese War" belonging to the Chinese nation; meanwhile, it contributed to the victory in the Sino-Japanese War, and provided steady foundation and valuable experience to the establishment and development of the People's Post.
