Along with the changes of the current affairs, our society has higher demands on college English teaching and students' ability to use the English in a practical way. So, college English teaching faced a challenge and the educational reform must be deepen. On the other hand, the reformation of multi-media and network technology has influenced the teaching strategy, teaching method, and teaching content profoundly.As a kind of web learning tool, Blog has many features, such as communicating, reflecting, individual and welcomed by teachers and students, widely used in teaching. Although Blog can provide a perfect environment for teaching, the current research on Blog in college English teaching is limited, lack of the guiding of effective strategies.The thesis bases on college English teaching theories and constructivism, adopts different kinds of research methods such as literature research, questionnaire, investigate and case study etc. And it brings forward how to using Blog developing English teaching strategies, how to advance English teaching under communication technology environment, improving teaching effect, then exploring a feasible idea for English teaching in college of our country.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part analyzes the background, actuality, aim, meaning and method, research idea. And summarizes the current situation of research and application of Blog in education.The second part mainly defines the conceptions and describes the theories of Blog, teaching strategies and constructivism.The third part bases on E.D.Gagne's teaching strategy categories, analyzes Blog teaching strategies from three levels: preparation strategy, implementation strategy and evaluation strategy.The fourth part takes the class Blog of 2007 general class of foreign language department of Kaifeng university as an example, and adopts different kinds of research methods to explore the effective teaching strategies.The last part is the conclusion of the article. It summarizes the conclusions and findings of this research and discourses the potential deficiency, at last points out the way of further research, and describes the future of Blog in college English teaching.
