At the field of commercial graphic design, the "red culture" symbols with rich political color have being used Frequently as visual design elements. This kind of application has existed from the first half of 20th century. After the 1980s, This kind of application has showing a different form of the past in look and spirit because of the tremendous changes in social environment. it gradually prevailed in the 90's and formed A large-scale trend in the early 21st century.On the research background of the domestic commercial design market and through brief description of the early applications of the "Red Culture" symbols, this paper study these "red culture" symbols based on the area, scope of application, performance practices, artistic style as well as creative motivation and so on. On this basis,it study the causes and practical significance of his phenomenon and some negative trends in an objective reflection.
