A Study On The Prehistoric Cultural Communication Of The Upper Reaches Of Liao River

This paper is an integral part of a key project of Liaoning Social Science Fund in 2006.The name of the project is"The Comprehensive Study of Prehistoric Archaeology and the Origin of Civilization in the Upper Reaches of the Liao River". The article is mainly about the situation of cultural communication in the upper reaches of the Liao river in prehistoric times,the objects are the cultures of Xinglongwa,Zhaobaogou,Fuhe,Hongshan and Xiajiadian.On the basis of summerizing the discovery of these typical sites and the research results of predecessors, I made a systematic analysis on the exchange situation between the prehistoric archaeological culture of the regions and the culture of their adjacent areas. Although the dissemination exists among all the cultures,we must follow two conditions if we want to make sure that the dissemination and communication indeed exist. First, study the route of cultural dissemination. Second, consider the relationship between archaeological finds and the things associated. In this article, I also analyzed some constraints of cultural dissemination and communication including geographical conditions and cultural background. Compared with other factors, these two constraints are typical, I will concentrate on other factors in further study. Considering cultural anthropology and archaeology, the same or similar composition of these cultures of the regions not entirely gained from dissemination, but from their own development and creation.
