Children's piano teaching is the foundation of piano education, Except for professional piano school teaching,at present,private piano teaching takes up the main portion of piano education,which is the major concern of this paper.Existing prominent problems,such as unclear teaching objective,lagged teaching practice compared with teaching research,lack of Chinese characterized piano teaching materials,teaching ability and education level needed to be improved,seriously affected the development of children's piano teaching.As for the teaching objective, the lack of philosophy thinking is the root.Hence,based on the analysis of both international and national background,it is proposed that training children's aesthetic ability and cultivating the pupils' ability in an all-round way are one of major objectives.For betterment of piano teaching,various correlated factors are analyzed,especially that the teacher's role and non-intelligent factor are mainly discussed.Factors like parental education,social musical culture and children's psychological features are introduced as well.Then,children's basic playing skills and learning strategies are presented afterward.Finally,correlated conditions are summed up.Considering the characteristics of teaching and learning, by integrating art and technique,invoking the teacher's instructing ability and children's subjective initiatives,the children's piano teaching objective is successfully achieved.
