In the present education system, utilitarianism is overwhelming. It lacks of ultimate care and ignores the meaning of existence. From the research on the esthetics spirit in Chinese traditional calligraphy art, the thesis tries to dig out the pursuing for the meaning of life, the construction of human spirit and the perfection in the poetic human life in Chinese traditional calligraphy art, during the process of its educational practice. The thesis tries to provide a possibility for the modern education system to search and rebuild the meaning of the life, from the esthetics spirit embedded in the calligraphy art, which is part of the Chinese traditional culture.The finiteness of life makes people to create something to limit the finiteness so that the life can have timeless meaning. The classical aesthetic spirit in philosophy is aesthetics essentially. It gives answers to the survival of people and the spirit reconstruction. There are four parts in the article. The first part discourses about the normal formulas of philosophy education in order to discourse about the relations between the education and the classical aesthetic spirit and the meaning. The second part tries to unscramble the classical aesthetic spirit in the philosophy to discourse philosophy education which has classical aesthetic spirit. The third part is the further explanation subject to the second part. It is the reflection of calligraphy education and also it provides a return path about the aesthetic spirit in calligraphy education. And the last part tries to put forward some strategies of regression. The conclusion returns to the source : education needs aesthetic spirit. As an example of calligraphy education, meaning world will lose if education only pay attention on technical value.
