The implement of college enrolling integration after 1990's speeded up Chinese higher education to suit socialism market economy,to alder transition,to improve working condition,to improve education quality.But there is a tendency that the quality and proportion of college poor students will raise after college tuition frequent increasing. Entering college ,there is a great influence for them because of the change of living ,working and social environments.But the economic problems of poor college students will lead to their mental problems,and that will influence the performance of college tasks as well as their lives afterwards.The article is based on the questionnaire of the poor and rich college students from grade 1 and 2 of Changchun Vocational Institute of Technology.the rusult as follows:(1) There are remarkable differences in mental health between ordinary college students and those with economic problems. Students with economic problems show more somatizated, more cranky ,and even with eating and sleeping disorders.(2) There is a remarkable difference in mental health between different origins. Those who come from rural areas show worse in mental health than those who come from cities.(3) There is a remarkable difference in mental heath between different genders. Females show worse than males.(4) There is a negative correlation between mental heath and perceptive social support for those higher occupation college students with economic problems .(5) There is a negative correlation between mental heath and negative coping for those higher occupation college students with economic problems .
