Since the western positive psychology has been developed,the research on subjective well-being becomes the focus of scholars . Subjective well-being is an important comprehensive psychological index to measure the mass of people's life satisfaction.Subjective well-being is a general assessment of a person's quality of life according to his own chosen criteria.Subjective well-being refers to individuals' evaluations of their lives,and includes three components:life satisfaction a cognitive evaluation of one's overall life,the presence of positive emotional experiences,and the absence of negative emotional experiences.The research on middle school students' subjective well-being has been conducted in a relative low frequency in the past.When it comes to the use of tools for measuring the subjective well-being scales from aboard are just edited or introduced directly in some research by domestic researchers.Subjective well-being has closed contacts with values,because the subjective well-being is all in all a matter of values,and behind"unhappy"problems there always exist some value contradictions.For further, many phenomena of"unhappy"problems are caused by misbalanced values.The misbalanced mental state of many middle school students is in fact the misbalance of values,therefore,to solve subjective well-being problems is in fact to solve the problems about values.On the other hand,whether a person's subjective well-being is highly or not will have a counteraction to the formation and development of the values.This research aims to reveal the relationship between subjective well-being and values,to analyze the different effects of factors such as sexes on the subjective well-being and values of middle school students,and by this means to seek some helpful ways for improving the education of middle school students' subjective well-being and values.It was found that:1.The level of middle school students' subjective well-being is generally high.2.There were significant differences between male and female on belief satisfaction and family satisfaction;there were significant differences between Mongol and Han on belief satisfaction and self-satisfaction;there were significant differences between junior high school students and senior high school students self-satisfaction,negative emotion, positive emotion,study satisfaction and subjective well-being total score.3.Levels of middle school students' subjective well-being differ among school grades;Generally,the level of subjective well-being among students in junior school is higher than that of students in high school.4.There were significant differences between female and male on openness attitude and conservative force;there were not significant differences between Mongol and Han.there were significant differences between junior high school students and senior high school students on self-surpass,openness attitude and conservative force.5.There is a moderate correlation between middle school students' values and subjective well-being;values is a predictor of middle school students' subjective well-being.
