The theory of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject is a compulsory course, which is of critical importance for training qualified instructors of Chinese subject, and the textbook of the theory of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject is the matter of the very course. The textbooks of the theory of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject is concerned in this dissertation (esp., mainly regarding the textbooks of the theory of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject in middle school),in which we study the history the textbooks of the very course and the arrangement of both the content and form ,and propose the measures of improving the constructions of the textbook of the very course.The history of the development of the textbook of the theory of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject equals the history of the study of the modern study of Chinese subject and the history of development of the normal education of Chinese language and literature major. In the first place, we sketch the outline of threads of the development of textbooks. It has been more than 100 years since the textbooks appeared, we can divide this historical course as follows: the period of preparation and budding; the period of creation and growth; the period of slowness and lingering; the period of renaissance and development; the period of the prosperity and innovation. Furthermore, the textbooks are classified in accordance with the various standards. Meanwhile, we analyze the factors in the building of the textbooks. In the second place, we study the content and form respectively: part of the content is expounded from the trunk theory (including the mega-physical theory of the theory of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject, the theory of ends of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject, the theory of the method of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject, etc.)and the branch theory(including the theory of the instruction for reading, composition, oral communication, basic knowledge of Chinese subject, comprehensive study of Chinese subject),and part of the form is researched from the inner form system and outer form system. In the last place, we propose the measures of improving the construction of textbook of the theory of curriculum and instruction for Chinese subject.
