A Study On The Personality Trait Of The Literal Art Major Mongolian University Students

Samples were taken from the literal art major mongolian students in Hohhot. Measurements were taken by means of 16PF and a Self-questionnaire which was to study on the factors to forming and development of personality traits of the mongolian university students.In this study,the personality trait of literal art major Mongolian university students was conducted from the following aspects: gender, grade, major, family structure , single-child , professional courses , growing-up environment and family income; and the following conclusion reached:(1) Personality trait of mongolian university students were in middle level,in addition to two factors of the Sixteen personality which were Vigilance and Self-Reliance had low tendency.Accordingly, the personality trait of mongolian university students can be recognized as an intermediate type.(2) The general characteristics of the literal art major mongolian university students were nature, outspoken, strong spiritual seeking and the abstract images thinking,etc.Scores of the personality factors such as B (Reasoning), N (Privateness), O (Apprehension) of the literal art major mongolian university students were significantly lower than non-literal art major mongolian university students; and the scores of Q1 (Openness to Change) was significantly higher than that of non-literal art major mongolian university students.(3) The scores of music major mongolian university students were significantly higher than that of art major mongolian university students in 3 personality factors E (Dominance), H (Social Boldness) and I (sensitivity); However, the scores of music major mongolian university students were significantly lower than that of art major mongolian university students in 2 personality factors B (Reasoning) and Q3 (Perfectionism).(4) There were significant differences between different sexes of the literal art major mongolian university students.Scores of male students were significantly higher than that of female students in 3 personality factors B (Reasoning), L (Vigilance), Q1 (Openness to Change); But scores of male students were significantly lower than that of female students.(5)Different grades of literal art major mongolian university students had significant differences in all 12 Personality factors Scores of the L (Vigilance), N (Privateness), O (Apprehension) and Q4 (Tension) of literal art major mongolian university students were increased with the increase in grade; However, the scores of C (Emotional Stability), Q1 (Openness to Change)and Q3 (Perfectionism) were decreased with the increase in grade. (6) Scores of the Single-parent families of literal art major mongolian university students were significantly higher than non-single-parent families of literal art major mongolian university students in 2 personality factors I (sensitivity) and O (Apprehension); scores of personality factors such as A (Warmth) and C ((Emotional Stability) were significantly lower than that of non-single-parent families of literal art major mongolian university students.Scores of single-child of literal art major mongolian university students were significantly higher than that of non- single -child of literal art major mongolian university students in 2 personality factors B (Reasoning) and E (Dominance); And scores of Q2 (Self-Reliance) and Q4 (tension), single-child of literal art major mongolian university students were significantly lower than non- single -child of literal art major mongolian university students.There were some significant differences between different family incomes of literal art major mongolian university students in 5 personality factors B (Reasoning), F (Liveliness), G (Rule-Consciousness), L (Vigilance) and Q2 (Self-Reliance).There were some significant differences between different growing-up environments of literal art major mongolian university students in 7 personality factors C (Emotional Stability), I (sensitivity), L (Vigilance), N (Privateness), O (Apprehension), Q1 (Openness to Change) and Q4 (Tension).(7) Scores of literal art major mongolian university students who were outstanding professional courses were significantly higher than that of poor students in professional courses in 5 personality factors C (Emotional Stability), E (Dominance), F (Liveliness), G (Rule-Consciousness) and H (Social Boldness).
