The Research On How To Use Personas Method During Internet Radio User Interface Design Process

Internet brings us into a new world , all of the auditory and and visual experience can be delivered into the digital , Internet radio came into being, which allows users to select much more programs , as well as audio quality has been unprecedented improved . Internet Radio allows users to listen to worldwide broadcasts by Internet connected , and listen to the music from computer music library through the local area network . Internet radio is gradually grown into a huge global market opportunity and rapid growth are among the users.The first generation of Internet radios are independent products of single feature . The future Internet Radio will be a function , rather than a product, A growing number of consumer electronics will include this feature . Multi-functional integrated is the trend of Internet radio.This trend means that the operation of Internet radio will be complex correspondingly , the most important issue for Internet radio UI design is how to make the interface more diverse and humanistic .But now there is lack of related reseach on UI of this product.This paper, I try to use Personas method during Internet Radio UI design ,try to jump out of the limitations of traditional UCD methods, try to research the user's goals, behavior, perspective,and to explore the user's needs.This method can help focusing on the design mor effectively, to concentrate designers'mind on the most valuable behavior model by using specific figures to express the user's goals and needs, try to think and understand from the perspective of users , in order to improve the design of Internet radio interface.This paper will discuss the case of lack of resources,how Personas method play a role of the Internet radio interface design.Through reserching on Personas'operation, characteristics, strengths, weaknesses and risk, try to explore ways to optimize the Personas method on Internet radio design, try to find the applicable innovation methods to do the Internet radio interface design.Mainly carried out a combination of qualitative research in a number of ways to collect user information,to do the users segmentation according to user behavior models,then to create Personas and each persona's scene,next , according to the created characters and scenes to reseach on Internet radio interface system.Including the preparatory Creation phase reseach(layer of scope, layer of structure, layer of framework) creation on layer of visual and the late stage of the improvement. Finally, according to a selected major perisona to carry out Internet radio interface design case.
