30 Years Of Graphic Design In China Research About China's Development Of Graphic Design After Reform And Opening-up

China's reform and opening up in the end of 1970s contributed to the repid development of Graphic Design. The economic development gave birth to design as a new industry. Although only a short period of three decades of time, the whole of Chinese society and people's living standards, economic and cultural, aesthetic level so on have all experienced earth-shaking changes , coupled with the advent of the Internet era in the end of the 20th century, the world has become more and more "green ". In 1980s, some people who dealing with arts or industry arts, were aware of the importance of design to the society. Therefore, they began to focus on design. This is the embryonic form of the first generation of designers. After nearly 30 years of self development, graphic design experienced from social cognition to interaction with economic and commerce. Graphic design is now gradually become mature, and made up of the important part in China's economy, culture, society and people's life. The article leads with the social-economic development policies, divides its development in four stages: budding period of exploration, development period, mature, prosperous period. First, the article expatiates the development of Graphic Design industry before reform and opening-up , and the awkward predicament after the Cultural Revolution . After that, it analyzes the main reasons resulting from 1978's reform, which has pushed the Chinese graphic design in different stages.
