The Relationship Among Implicit Altruistic, Explicit Altruistic And Moral Judgment

Altruistic is a behavior that helping others voluntarily but no any return.It is an important component of prosocial behavior,as well as an outcome of individual socialization.Altruistic is got more and more attention to academic field and included in many theoretical model in social psychology.Recently,some psychological researchers pay attention to implicit altruistic behavior and discovered altruistic behavior can be displayed implicitly.Moral judgment is a psychological process that judging moral phenomena by individual knowledge.This article probes the relationship between explicit altruistic behavior and implicit altruistic behavior,as well as the interaction among explicit altruistic behavior,implicit altruistic behavior and moral judgment.In order to enrich the theoretical study,and make a contribution to promote an ability of altruistic behavior and moral judgment of Chinese college students.The preparatory study discusses the relationship between explicit altruistic behavior and implicit altruistic behavior.The research respectively adopts peer nomination and IAT to measure explicit altruistic behavior and implicit altruistic behavior.The results indicates that significant implicit altruistic behavior was found;there was no gender difference in implicit altruistic behavior;no correlation was discovered between implicit and explicit altruistic behaviors.Based on the first study,the second study respectively uses IAT and MJT to measure implicit altruistic behavior and moral judgment ability.It shows that there is no difference in gender,area and speciality on MJT;no correlation was discovered between IAT and MJT;no significant correlation between IAT and MJT;significant positive correlation is found between explicit altruistic behavior and C score;there is significant correlation between 4^th,5^th and 6^th of MJT and explicit altruistic behavior;moral judgment ability can predict explicit altruistic behavior.
