Choice And Reconstruction

Recently , the theoretical relation between Liang Shiqiu and Irving Babbitt has got more academic attention . Previous studies are just at the initial stage of impact study , which verifys the relation through the real facts ; or not made a system analysis on the acceptance of Liang Shiqiu . Therefore , it will be the point that disscusing Liang Shiqiu's acceptance from Babbitt furtherly and studing the levels of the reconstructions that happened in Liang Shiqiu's misunderstanding ,which will develp the study about Liang Shiqiu . According to the consideration , the article comes off as plannde stared with the perspective of"choice and reconstruction": researching into the theoretical relation ; examining the core of the theory—"law for man"; elaborating the Liang Shiqiu's reconstructions ; revealing the inner psychological motivation of Liang Shiqiu's choice and reconstructions,as well as the significance of contemporary . By comparing Liang Shiqiu's literary theory and Babbitt's humanism , it is believed that Liang Shiqiu's acceptance which got from Babbitt is of a valuable spirit of"cultural reflection". He took the traditional culture of Confucian as the foundation of his thoughts and made his own understanding and absorption for Babbitt's humanism ,from the humanistic spirit inside to the theory of literature outside . Through these hard efforts , he finally built his own"humanism", including values of humanism , theories of literature , standards of criticism and critical practices .While elaborating the reconstructions , the key to the problem is to apply a method of comparative research to some specific concepts ,which requires close reading of their literary theory texts , and the gathering of materials as the essential step . Based on these works , we make a further discussion on the concrete application of important concepts next. After that , to amplify the level of Liang Shiqiu's reconstructions , what we do is to analyze the differences and similarities by the combination of the macroanalysis and microanalysis . Meanwhile , we give the anlysis on the causes of his choice and reconstructions . The above is the most important innovation of this thesis . Examing the core value of humanism's significance of contemporary from the angle of"The Spiritual Ecology", is also something that has never been done before by our predecessors in this areaThere are much important at the aspect of exploring the commons and differences between Liang Shiqiu and Babbitt for realizing Liang Shiqiu's literature theories more objectively and enriching study of Chinese contemporary literature history and thought history , from the angle of Liang Shiqiu's choice and reconstruction that got from Babbitt. Meanwhile , at the front of condition of"Ecology Unbalance"which use technology as the pioneer , what we can get from the humanism would help us to understand the significance and function of literature clearly by bring up the core value of the humanism again .
