This article discussed the influence of Babbitt's New humanism theory on Liang Shi Qiu and Wu Mi's classical literature theory. The new humanism is an active conservatism cultural trend in the 1920s in the United States, and its essence is that human achieve individual moral self-improvement and fight against modern society's excessive Self-expansion and moral degeneration through the learning of classical tradition. Liang and Wu Mi, as the traditional Confucian intellectuals, they adhere to traditional culture and Babbitt's new humanism theory that has a built-in consistency. As a result, Wu Mi and Liang accepted Babbitt's New humanism theory initiatively and establish their ideological and classical literature theory with humanism with Babbitt's theory. This Paper Specifically analyses Liang Shi Qiu and Wu Mi's literary concepts. Their classical literature concept had complete theory which were under the influence of Chinese traditional Confucian poetry and the theory of New humanism.
