With the development of the times, migrant workers have become a very important social group, which has drawn great attention from all sectors of society. Since the beginning of the 20th century, with social concern for migrant worker, a large number of soap operas reflecting life of migrant workers mushroomed to become an important category in soup opera creation. Its unique artistic features enable it to maintain a strong vitality in a variety of subjects in TV screen.Although taken a certain artistic process, soap operas of migrant workers mostly base on true stories of life and maintain honest. Through the true record of survival of the underlying people, it shows us their arduous bitter fate, and also shows their grass-roots spirits of humor, perseverance, and contentment. By research on the development of this category of soap opera, finding it closely related to our present specific social and historical and cultural backgrounds, watching vivid characters and stories, we could feel the constant changes of the times and the rapid pace of China's social modernization.At present, many soap operas reflect the life of peasants, but few of them devotes to the life of migrant workers. It causes less relevant theoretical research. The author of this thesis aggregates the study of soap opera about migrant workers. Through analysis of existing works, the author sums up the laws of their creation and their artistic style in order to find the advantages and disadvantages of current creation, in addition, to play a positive role in future creation and development of soap opera about migrant workers.
