On Research Of Amartya Sen's Freedom View

Freedom is a permanence topic that philosophers always concern since it came into being. The explanations of freedom are also different, and scholars who research freedom are also numerous.Nowdays, freedom have encountered some new circumstances and realities,so we should integrate these new factors into our considerations.Now freedom is divided into positive freedom and negative freedom.Under the background, this paper select a new freedom between the two concept freedom --Amartya Sen's concept. It look the capability as the core concept to pursue the positive freedom,and it absorb the rational factors of positive freedom and negative freedom.The background of Sen's Freedom is divided into personal experience, social background, knowledge background. In this context,Sen propose substantive freedom which contain the advantages of positive freedom and,negative freedom.Sen's freedom view is based on the reviewing and criticizing of utilitarianism,libertarianism and the priority of liberalism.It has a wide information.It is a new theory of freedom because it respect the rights of human.Freedom is substantive,that is,it is a capability people enjoy the livelihood which people want to do. Sen's fredom developed the useful and discard the useless of old freedom views and constructed the operable formality of capability.Substantive freedom can be measured.Then Sen advanced the relationship between development and freedom based on substantive freedom.It is said that freedom is the initial goal and important measures. Development is a process of spreading freedom Sen's freedom view and development view are a compactness whole one..But we should pay close attention to the limitations of Sen's freedom view.It is good for the use of the freedom in real life.
