The history of logic is just that of logic paradox. Thus the study of paradox thinking undoubtedly has been very important. Although it just has a history of about 100 years, researchers have paid much attention to paradox thinking. And the appearance of paradox thinking can be traced back to ancient times.Ancient Greece and ancient China, India, the cradle of logic- have almost the same paradox thought. For example, Epimennides, born in the ancient Greece island of Crete, proposed the famous liar paradox that"All people are lying at island of Crete". Chinese phraseology in Mingbian theory is similar to the paradox. That is"all words are wrong". In Ancient Indian logic the paradox thought is that"all words are presumptuous". All these can be seen as the enlightenment of paradox. From the history of paradox research, the study of it has never been discontinued and even finally it has developed into Strict Paradox and has became the important research subject. The same paradox thinking appeared in ancient Indian Hetuvidya and ancient Chinese Mingbian theory. However, it cannot be called Strict Paradox. This issue is worthy of our reflection and discussion. The paradox researching has provided the rationale for the scientific theory's development. The establishment of any scientific theory is always accompanied by the process of constantly finding solutions to the logical contradictions. The article starts with the research from the paradox source, the research of the paradox thought in ancient logic. Fundamentally the article is to study the basis of paradox. The appearance of paradox thinking in ancient Greece and ancient China reflects the general character of human logical thinking. The different developing process of paradox thinking, however reflects the difference of the Chinese and foreign different ways of thinking. The research and reflection of the paradox in ancient logic has been important not only to the comparative study of Chinese and foreign logical thought, but to comparative research of the cultural traditions home and abroad.
