The Yangtze River Three Gorges area is a special place with a long history and strong cultural atmosphere and specific location. The region is the Midwest's water transportation links because of the Yangtze River such as a main artery which links Chongqing to the sea; Chongqing has become the up-Yangtze River's largest industrial and commercial city, the water transport core and the Three Gorges region's most important foreign trade port after Opening of Chongqing from the late Qing Dynasty.It plays an important part in the whole Three Gorges region and the whole of Sichuan, southwest regional development.So that, it is of great significance to the systematic study and understanding Chongqing Administrative Region Government Boundary recovery is an important part, it is also one of the important component of the composition that Compiling "Historical Atlas of the Yangtze River Three Gorges Project". This article is a part of this subject "Historical Atlas of the Three Gorges," and mainly for the purpose of the four county border recovery and ultimately reflected in the form of maps.
